The following is a letter I wrote to a girls high school librarian when asked which shiurim I recommend they make available to the girls in the month of Elul. Unfortunately I only started labeling shiurim "Content not fit for children" in the past half a year. I hope parents find this letter helpful. Your feedback is welcome!

Shalom I think the:

  1. parsha shiurim are shiurim that they will benefit from immensely. There are Rabbonim who listen to those shiuirim. They encompass the mitzvoth and emunot v'dei'ot of the parshiot. However, they are geared for adults. I think that it is ok for girls in high school. The shiurim in:
  2. shemona perakim,
  3. 13 Ikarim of the Rambam,
  4. Igeret Haramban,
  5. Tomer Devorah (excellent for the month of Elull),
  6. Sefer Ma'asiyot – Rav Nissim Gaon's work of stories with hashkafa (some of the content is for adults, it is up to your discretion to decide if it fits for these girls),  
  7. Yona classes (excellent for this time of year), ·
  8. Tehilim_Classes – also good for this time of year, · 
  9. Shoftim , Shmuel, Melachim – there are a few series in these – I gave these classes in different years, I think it is an easy way for them to get to know tanach. Remember, tanach is the best mussar sefer. ·
  10. Shemona Perakim  - there are yedios that might be good for them,

 

The following are works in progress – I am currently giving shiurim in them, but there is already a substantial amount of shiurim:

  1. Drashot Haran (a little deep, but with very important concepts),
  2. Drashat Haramban – Torat Hashem Temima,
  3. Agadot Hatalmud ( I think the girls will gain a lot from that, it includes the agadot and mussar, short but with a lot of content),
  4. 613 Mitvot (short shiurim that summarize taryag mitzvoth. They help people realize what we do during the day that is a mitzvah, takanah d'rabanan etc.), Dov's Minute (1 minute shiurim on tefilah),
  5. Ein Yakov (similar to the Agadot Hatalmud, only I read the text of the Ein Yakov and translate),
  6. Chafets Chaim Ahavat Chesed (excellent for the month of Elull),
  7. Jewish Stories (geared for children I think all of the content is good for your girls, you may want to check the classes that say "content not fit for children", I only started labeling the classes that way in past half a year, so unfortunately, I don't remember regarding all of the classes which have such content, this is true for all of the website)
  8. Rambam Intro to Mishna there are important yedios, · 
  9. Pirkey Avoth Lecture (Pshat), Mishley  – great for this time of year, · 
  10. Midrash Tana_Dbey_Elyahu , and Pirkey Drabi Eliezer – important yedios and enjoyable learning,
